Born from a clinical challenge — not a product search.
Echo Pathways originated from a problem set by one of the world's leading cancer centres. Their haematology and pathology teams didn't ask us to invent a new protocol — they asked whether we could solve an operational problem their existing systems couldn't.
The idea
Healthcare doesn't need more knowledge. It needs better execution.
Medicine already knows what to do. Remarkably little technology has focused on making sure it actually happens. Echo Pathways is an operational layer — a clinical protocol execution platform that turns pathology into action.
We don't replace clinical judgement. We make sure clinical knowledge is executed.

Why we started with the hardest case.
We started with AML not because it was the biggest market, but because it is one of medicine's most demanding environments: serial molecular monitoring across multiple assays, laboratories, units and reporting conventions, where a missed trend costs the most.
Prove it there, and it extends across many pathology-driven pathways. Prove it somewhere easy, and you've proved nothing.

How we build
The constraints we chose, and won't trade away.
The decision path is deterministic
A generative model reads documents. It never decides. Harmonisation, event detection, schedules and action selection are rule execution — inspectable, testable, and replayable to the same answer every time.
A human authorises the consequential step
The system recommends from a bounded action vocabulary. It never auto-executes. If that makes it slower, the trade is correct.
The absent result is the dangerous one
A result that never arrives is the failure mode nobody is looking at. We treat an overdue expected result as high-severity, and we will not weaken that.
Proof, not custody
Where a hospital already holds the record, we don't keep a second copy. We keep enough to prove what we saw and what we did — and nothing more.
Evidence falls out of the build
Traceability, V&V results, the anomaly log and the residual-risk view are emitted by the system, not hand-authored afterwards. Evidence written after the fact records a belief, not a behaviour.
We never train on patient data
Not identifiable, not de-identified. Patient information is never baked into model weights. It is a stricter line than the sector's, and we hold it on purpose.

A sister product, and a separate one.
Echo-Health is our clinical documentation and workflow platform: it surfaces information to clinicians and is engineered to stay an information-retrieval tool, never grading or recommending.
Echo Pathways is a different kind of product with a different regulatory posture. It applies approved rules and raises prioritised recommendations, so it is being built as a regulated device from the outset. The two share a company and a philosophy — not a codebase, and not a data store.
